presentation may be summarized in the following seven points:

Sudan
s modern history as represented by seven regimes namely

The Condominium 1898-1956
·
The First Democracy 1956-58.
·
The first autocracy: 1958-64.
·
The Second Democracy 1964-69.

The First Totalitarianism:
1969-85.
·
The Third Democracy 1985-89.
·
The Second Totalitarianism
1989-..
Has had a rich historical
experience. That experience carries several lessons for the future,
especially, in terms of Human Rights.

The
seven regimes left specific legacies, which should be understood and
reflected on.

I
have singled out the legacies’
impact on Human rights.
4.
I
have outlined the necessary measures to ensure Human Rights and
ensure justice.
5.
I
have described the static approach to the Human Rights issue.

I
have moved beyond it to a dynamic view of Human Rights in terms of
sustainable Human Rights.

The
Sudan’s
rich experience could enable it to resolve its historical problems
and provide an example with very wide implications.
